we have reviewed the film s o n · o f · m a n  submitted by you for a possible spot on the tv production "onscreen atlanta." i wanted to write and let you know that we think your short film is of high merit and is certainly better than 95% of the submissions we have received so far. here are a handful of points we liked about it:
  • the writing and overall direction is smooth and controlled.
  • the cinematography is unusually good.
  • the subdued tone of the film is nicely managed.
  • you make excellent use of sound as a transition device.
  • the story has a nice flannery o'connor-like feel to it.
  • the music (cello, if I remember correctly) is very nicely timed to the rhythm of the pacing.
you are very talented. i certainly hope you are working in the business.
